Green Development is a Western Australian environmental consultancy founded by Charles Stewart Lee, building on a legacy of environmental work begun by his father Ron Lee. We work on water, land, and energy problems for Australian industry and local government.

Charles Stewart Lee is the founder of Green Development. Trading as Lee-Stewart Pty Ltd, the business developed and commercialised a suite of biological treatment products including Environ-8, Clear-Pond, and Enviro-Fix, with verified results across golf courses, residential estates, aquaculture operations, industrial facilities, and local government water bodies.
The work of Lee-Stewart has been endorsed by Curtin University's Aquatic Science Research Unit, the Water Authority of Western Australia, LandCorp (now DevelopmentWA), the City of Wanneroo, and the WA Sports Centre Trust.

Green Development is the official Australian representative of GVWT Energy Pte Ltd, a Singapore-based renewable energy company and inventor of the GV Turbine, a patented Guide Vane Augmented Vertical Axis Wind Turbine unlike anything else on the market.
The GV Turbine was invented by Mr Guy Andrew Vaz, Executive Founder of GVWT Energy, who holds hundreds of registered patents. The turbine has received an Approval-In-Principle from Bureau Veritas, with certification pathways underway in Europe, the United States, and Australia.
As the exclusive Australian gateway to this technology, Green Development is the only pathway to deploying the GV Turbine in Australia.

Mr Lee was appointed to advise on algae growth, filter blockages, and sprinkler damage from iron-rich bore water across three major water bodies in the Joondalup City Centre. Through a combination of aeration and biological treatment, he achieved satisfactory water quality across all three sites.
We have known Mr Lee for over 15 years. During that time he has provided expert consultancy across many of our projects in the field of water quality. After application of Environ-8, the results within approximately three weeks were incredible. All tests report excellent water quality and pH. All previous methods of control, including chemical treatments and aeration, had been unsuccessful.

Lee Stewart Pty Ltd has been engaged by the City of Wanneroo to undertake monitoring and the biological management of the City's lakes. Development of baseline data has been a critical requirement for Council in determining appropriate design criteria for feature lake drainage areas.

Since using Enviro-Fix 216, the concerns around constant odours and the necessity to regularly pump traps have been largely overcome, particularly with the grease traps, which now only require pumping about 25% as often as previously.
We are currently using Enviro-Fix Nite and AQ-900 to produce clear, good quality water in our live reef fish export system. Not only are the Environ products superior to other aquatic treatments, but the service provided is prompt, efficient, and knowledgeable. The bioaugmentation of Environ-8 has helped in the maintenance of optimal water quality parameters across both freshwater and marine components of our hatchery. It has kept algal bloom under check, proven effective in reducing ammonia levels during hatching, and effective in spiking biological filters.
